JOB TITLE: Groundskeeper

DEPARTMENT: Grounds

REPORTS TO: Director of Grounds

HOURS: 7:30am - 3:30pm (During high heat, work 6:30am - 2:30pm)

TYPE: Full time position

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for Twin Lakes Community campus grounds maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Trim shrubs and trees
2. Mow turf
3. Trim and edge turf
4. Use blower to remove grass clippings and leaves
5. Maintain paths, sidewalks, or road surfaces
6. Perform ground maintenance duties, using a tractor equipped with attachments, such as: loader with bucket or grapple
7. Operate tractors or trucks equipped with snow removal equipment to keep roads cleared during inclement weather
8. Shovel sidewalks during snow events
9. Make minor repair to mowers and other equipment
10. Sharpen and clean tools
11. Erect and place various Christmas decorations throughout the campus
12. Help with resident trash pick up as required
13. May be required to perform other duties in keeping with the nature of this position which will not significantly alter the job requirements.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• One or more years of experience in landscaping preferred.
